The SSFL groundwater is regulated by the Department of Toxic Substances Control with advisement from a Boeing-paid expert panel. The aquifer under the SSFL is heavily polluted with TCE, tritium, perchlorate, dioxins, and more.

Boeing’s groundwater Easement

The SSFL surface water (rain water runoff) is regulated by the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board. Boeing has been fined over $1,500,000 for polluting the surrounding water systems from the Santa Susana Field Lab.
